Welcome to our site. Here you will find
information on computer speakers and
accessories.
A good computer machine gives the best
performance when you install good computer speaker
systems to get the most effective sound. There is an
array of speaker types and multiple companies manufacture
the speaker systems. In order to choose the most suitable
one you have to know a bit about the speakers.
Different types of computer speaker
systems
1. The full range speaker system- This type
of speakers consist of two full range sound boxes. You
choose the speakers according to your budget and space
availability but you must remember that the shape, size,
configuration of cone and enclosure of speakers matter a
lot to the sound effect.
2. The 2.1 speakers
The digit in front of the decimal indicates
the number of satellites or speakers and the last part
indicates the number of subwoofer associated with the
system.
Therefore, in 2.1 computer speaker systems,
number of speakers is two which come with only one
subwoofer. This is a basic model and preferred for
personal use in small spaces.
3. The 5.1 system
These systems come with 2 front, 2 rear, one
central speaker and the single subwoofer. These systems
create very good surround sound effect when the speakers
are evenly distributed in the room. You will get the best
sound effect of a home theatre from such
system.
4. The 7.1 system
These models have seven speakers and one
powerful subwoofer. These models consume great space and
perfect fit for large conference rooms, halls etc. The
7.1 system produces highest surrounding sound effect in a
large room.
5. The wireless system
In all the above said models, all speaker
cones, subwoofer is joined with the main pc by wires and
as the number of cone increases the amount of wires also
increase. Often the mess of wires hinders with the look
of your room. So the smart choice is wireless speaker
systems.
While buying a speaker system always opt for
the renowned companies like Logitech, Creative Labs, JBL,
Bose etc. as they guarantee their product and also
provide servicing. The price and your budget is always
the limiting factor for buying computer speaker systems.
Compare the prices of different systems and check the
detailed wattage utilization of the speakers rather than
the total power output. PMPO, Music Power, RMS are also
used to indicate the power output instead of watt by
various companies. A high output system gives good sound
effect and is high priced. Be aware of the space required
to position all the speaker cones properly. Finally you
have to check the sound card system in your computer that
will support the speaker system. The hardware must be
able to support your 5.1 or 7.1 speakers, otherwise you
will see one or more speaker cones are not working after
hooking up with the computer.
